Job Description

As a Hoist and Winch Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient lifting operations across various industrial settings. Your responsibilities will include performing rigging tasks, collaborating with team members, and maintaining rigging equipment to meet project requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigging operations in compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform visual inspections of all rigging components before use.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to assess project needs.
• Utilize lifting equipment efficiently for various industrial tasks.
• Document and report rigging inspections and maintenance.
• Train new team members on rigging safety and procedures.
• Participate in site safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in rigging or heavy equipment operations preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in rigging operations with a focus on safety

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in operating lifting equipment and machinery
• Basic computer skills for documentation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Physical strength and stamina

Certifications

• OSHA safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, OSHA 30) - preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
