As a Tariff Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all import and export shipments comply with U.S. customs regulations. This position involves conducting inspections, preparing documentation, and liaising with customs officials.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review import/export documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assess tariffs and duties on shipments and communicate findings.
  • Prepare and file necessary paperwork with CBP (Customs and Border Protection).
  • Identify potential compliance issues and recommend solutions.
  • Liaise with clients and customs officials to resolve discrepancies.
  • Stay current with changes in customs regulations and trade agreements.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Customs Software Proficiency Proficient in using customs compliance software systems.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Expertise in Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and documentation.
  • Attention to Detail Highly meticulous in reviewing documents and processes.
  • Excellent Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with stakeholders.
  • Certified Customs Specialist
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Familiarity with ACE Software: Experience using the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) for customs filings.
  • Customs Broker License: Having a Customs Broker License is a plus.
