Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Adult Basic Education and ESOL Teacher to instruct non-native English speakers. You will develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide guidance to enhance their language skills and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement curriculum tailored to adult learners' language needs.
  • Assess and record students' progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and work with them on their language goals.
  • Encourage an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach programs to promote language education.
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Education is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years teaching ESOL to adults or a similar context
