Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Archivist to join our team, responsible for the acquisition, preservation, and accessibility of historical documents and artifacts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that our collections are meticulously organized and preserved for future generations.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the condition of archival materials and recommend appropriate conservation actions.
  • Develop educational resources based on archival materials for public use.
  • Participate in professional development conferences and workshops.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote the awareness of the archive's resources.
  • Manage records management for the organization in collaboration with IT.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work environment in the archives.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Archival Science or Library Science
  • Conservation certification is a plus
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in archives or libraries
