Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Hazardous Waste Management Control Engineer to lead hazardous waste management initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations while developing strategies to reduce waste generation in our operations.
Responsibilities
Plan and oversee the implementation of hazardous waste policies.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safe waste storage.
Analyze waste data and recommend process improvements.
Develop outreach and training materials for staff.
Work with regulatory bodies during inspections and compliance reviews.
Evaluate and select waste disposal vendors and services.
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in waste management practices.
Investigate and resolve waste management-related incidents.
Prepare reports for management on waste activities and compliance status.
Network with industry professionals to stay updated on best practices.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
Professional certifications in hazardous waste management preferred
Experience
5+ years of experience in waste management roles
