Clamp Carrier Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a Clamp Carrier Operator to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently while transporting lumber within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in a sawmill setting, showcasing strong attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

• Run the clamp carrier to facilitate the movement of lumber within the sawmill.
• Perform maintenance checks on the carrier to ensure safety and functionality.
• Ensure lumber is properly secured and aligned on the carrier.
• Adhere to safety standards and report any hazardous conditions.
• Work with team members to ensure timely lumber delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workplace and the machinery.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in heavy machinery operation is a plus

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on heavy machinery operation.
