Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling, testing, and maintaining electronic systems used in aircraft. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues while ensuring compliance with industry safety regulations. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly and installation of sophisticated avionics systems.
• Analyze electronic schematics to facilitate troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure precision in the assembly of avionics systems according to specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to address design flaws or operational issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure all systems meet regulatory requirements.
• Prepare reports on system performance and maintenance issues.
• Assist in the development of training materials for onboarding new technicians.
• Oversee calibration efforts to optimize system performance.

Requirements

Education

• Associate degree in Avionics Technology or Electronics
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering is an added advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience working with avionics systems

Technical Skills

• Calibration of avionics systems
• Software diagnostics

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Electronics Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a manufacturing environment: Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in using CAD software: Ability to use CAD software for designing and analyzing avionics layouts.
