Job Description

We are searching for an enthusiastic Entomologist who is ready to tackle challenges in insect research. Your work will impact agricultural practices and environmental sustainability by developing informed strategies based on your investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and classify insect specimens using morphological and molecular techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to tackle insect-related issues.
  • Conduct field sampling and laboratory analysis to gather relevant data.
  • Maintain detailed records of all research activities and findings.
  • Design and implement pest management education programs for stakeholders.
  • Engage in grant writing and funding applications for research projects.
  • Mentor junior researchers and interns in entomological methodologies.
  • Contribute to community outreach efforts related to pest management.
  • Analyze trends in insect population dynamics and their implications.
  • Develop computer models to predict insect behavior and impact.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Entomology or related field
  • Ph.D. in Entomology or similar is preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant research experience
