Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Health Specialties Teacher, specializing in recreation therapy, to join our educational team. In this role, you will inspire and educate future recreation therapists, helping them build the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Create lesson plans and teaching materials that meet educational standards.
  • Evaluate and document students’ performance in practical settings.
  • Guide students in career development, including job search strategies.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current in the field.
  • Engage with the community through outreach programs related to recreation therapy.
  • Utilize technology and learning management systems for course delivery.
  • Incorporate diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Stay informed about changes in education regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy
  • Master's degree in a related field is a plus
Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant teaching or clinical experience
