Masonry Specialist

Job Description

The Masonry Specialist is responsible for performing skilled masonry work in the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of brick, stone, and other masonry surfaces. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled masonry work including bricklaying and stone cutting.
• Prepare job sites by setting up tools and maintaining cleanliness.
• Read and interpret blueprints for construction projects.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular inspections for quality assurance.
• Train and mentor junior masonry workers.
• Document project progress and report to the site supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Assist in material inventory and ordering supplies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in masonry is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in masonry-related work

Technical Skills

• History of Masonry Techniques
• Concrete and stucco work

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time management

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Masonry Inspector Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with stone veneer installation: Ability to install and finish stone veneer on various surfaces.
• Familiarity with modern masonry tools and equipment: Knowledge of operating the latest tools in masonry for efficiency.
