Job Description

The Canal Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of equipment crucial to canal development and management. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, ensuring that our machinery operates at optimal levels while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute timely repairs to reduce machinery downtime.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
• Work within a team to manage equipment inventory and ordering of parts.
• Participate in safety training workshops and adhere to safety protocols during all operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant trade school program
• Certification in heavy equipment mechanics

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
