Job Description
In this pivotal role, the Judicial Law Clerk will support judges through comprehensive legal research and drafting of court opinions. Ideal candidates will possess a Juris Doctor degree and experience in legal writing and analysis.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough reviews of legal documents and briefs filed with the court.
Prepare analytical reports and summaries for ongoing court proceedings.
Assist judges in assessing litigation strategies presented by attorneys.
Participate in mock hearings to prepare judges for actual cases.
Maintain confidentiality of all judicial proceedings and sensitive materials.
Requirements
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Bar admission in the state of D.C. is a plus
Experience
Prior legal experience as a law clerk or legal intern preferred.
