Job Description

In this pivotal role, the Judicial Law Clerk will support judges through comprehensive legal research and drafting of court opinions. Ideal candidates will possess a Juris Doctor degree and experience in legal writing and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of legal documents and briefs filed with the court.
  • Prepare analytical reports and summaries for ongoing court proceedings.
  • Assist judges in assessing litigation strategies presented by attorneys.
  • Participate in mock hearings to prepare judges for actual cases.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all judicial proceedings and sensitive materials.

Requirements

Education
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Bar admission in the state of D.C. is a plus
Experience
  • Prior legal experience as a law clerk or legal intern preferred.
