Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Dry Kiln Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain dry kilns used in the lumber industry, ensuring the drying process meets quality standards and production goals.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and practices.
Monitor drying processes and adjust as needed to maintain standards.
Assist in training new staff on kiln operations and safety procedures.
Maintain records of production data and equipment performance.
Support the quality control team in monitoring lumber quality.
Participate in team meetings to discuss production efficiency.
Keep the work area organized and free of hazards.
Requirements
Education
Technical certification in lumber processing or related field is a plus
Experience
Prior experience is advantageous.
Technical Skills
Ability to work with machinery and tools

Effective communication skills
Languages
English: Fluent
Advantageous
Prior experience with different types of dry kilns: Experience in operating various kiln models to improve efficiency.
Knowledge of lumber grading standards: Understanding of quality control processes in lumber production.
