Job Description

As a Ditch Tender at WaterWorks Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of ditches, canals, and drainage systems. Knowledge of irrigation practices and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain the condition of ditches, canals, and drainage systems.
• Ensure proper function of irrigation equipment and machinery.
• Conduct regular checks for water flow efficiency and performance.
• Document and report discrepancies in irrigation systems.
• Work with other staff to optimize water management strategies.
• Participate in emergency response to irrigation issues.
• Provide support in training activities for new hires.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate in the development of maintenance schedules.
• Maintain tools and equipment inventory.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver's license

Experience

• Previous experience in ditch maintenance or related irrigation field preferred

• Understanding of basic maintenance techniques

Certifications
