Responsibilities

• Help in planning and implementing various educational activities tailored to IEP objectives.
• Provide support to students during lessons, ensuring they understand materials.
• Assist in modifying and adapting learning materials for diverse needs.
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior, reporting findings to teachers.
• Promote social skills development and provide emotional support to students.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff in a supportive role.
• Participate actively in a range of school activities and events.
• Support classroom management and maintain a safe environment for learning.
• Engage in regular communication with parents and guardians about student progress.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions for professional development.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred)
• Completion of relevant paraeducator training programs (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience with special needs students in an educational setting.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of educational techniques for special education
• Basic computer skills
