Job Description

As an Audio Visual Communications Systems Technician, you will be at the forefront of technological installations, maintenance, and support for audiovisual systems. This role involves working in various environments such as corporate offices and event venues, ensuring that our clients can effectively communicate and engage through sound and visuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain AV systems including video walls and control systems.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on audiovisual equipment to ensure reliability.
• Engage with clients to develop customized AV solutions that meet organizational needs.
• Setup and manage AV equipment during live events, ensuring flawless execution.
• Document AV system installations, maintenance logs, and training manuals.
• Provide user training for AV equipment and respond to technical support requests.
• Conduct research on emerging AV technologies to keep our services at the cutting edge.
• Integrate AV systems with network infrastructure for enhanced functionality.
• Comply with all safety guidelines for installations and equipment handling.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma required; Associates degree in a relevant field preferred
• Certifications such as AVIXA or InfoComm are highly regarded

Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the audiovisual field

Technical Skills

• AV equipment setup
• Network connectivity knowledge

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Customer service orientation

Certifications

• InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with control systems: Hands-on experience with systems such as Crestron or AMX.
• Familiarity with VR technologies: Understanding of virtual reality and its applications in AV.
