Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drilling and Boring Machine Tool Setter to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to drilling and boring machines which are crucial for our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure machines function properly.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for machine adjustments.
• Monitor production timelines and adjust machine settings as necessary.
• Provide feedback on production processes to improve operations.
• Lead training sessions for new operators on machinery.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or associate's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• CNC equipment operation
• Experience with PLCs

Soft Skills

• Reliability
• Communication

Certifications

• Certification in CNC machining

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with quality assurance systems: Knowledge of QA systems to ensure consistent product quality.
• Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles: Understanding of efficient workplace organization and process improvement strategies.
