Job Description

As a Fabric and Apparel Patternmaker, you will play a vital role in creating patterns and technical designs for various fashion projects. Collaborating with designers and production teams, you'll ensure that each piece meets both aesthetic and functional standards. Your expertise in fabric types, garment construction, and production processes will help bring innovative ideas to life.

Responsibilities

• Draft and finalize patterns for sample garments.
• Analyze fit issues and provide solutions to improve garment performance.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless production workflow.
• Maintain an organized database of patterns and technical documents.
• Provide support in training junior patternmakers and interns.
• Engage in project meetings to communicate progress and any challenges.
• Evaluate fabric quality and recommend alternatives as necessary.
• Contribute to cost-effective production through efficient pattern designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology or similar
• Portfolio showcasing patternwork is preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in a fashion production environment

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
