Job Description

As a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, you will provide critical support to individuals facing addiction challenges. In this role, you'll assess clients' needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and guide them through their recovery journey. Your expertise and compassionate approach will empower clients to reclaim their lives and achieve lasting sobriety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intake assessments and establish rapport with clients.
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans based on client evaluations.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and support during recovery.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and family members for comprehensive care.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups to enhance recovery knowledge.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Encourage clients to engage in community resources and support groups.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Licensed in the state of California as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in addiction counseling or similar roles.
