Responsibilities
Lead a team of medical billers to ensure collection goals are achieved.
Monitor and improve billing operations through data analysis.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Act as the point of escalation for billing-related disputes.
Establish best practices for efficient billing workflows.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations related to billing.
Collaborate with IT to enhance billing software systems.
Prepare and analyze metrics related to billing efficiency and accuracy.
Facilitate training programs for new hires and ongoing education for current staff.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or related field
Master's degree in healthcare management is a plus
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing or related field
