Job Description

As a Farm and Home Management Educator, you will provide expert consultation to farmers, assisting them in maximizing productivity and sustainable practices. Your insights will play a crucial role in enhancing crop yields and improving farm management techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing farm operations and suggest enhancements tailored to farmer needs.
  • Guide farmers on effective irrigation and water management strategies.
  • Provide support on regulatory compliance and sustainable farming certifications.
  • Conduct educational programs addressing innovative farming techniques.
  • Analyze soil quality and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, providing ongoing support and feedback.
  • Stay informed about market trends and agricultural economic conditions.
  • Assist in crisis management strategies during adverse weather or pest challenges.
  • Collaborate with community resources to provide comprehensive support to farmers.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field
  • Advanced certifications in sustainable farming practices are a plus
Experience
  • Previous experience in crop consultancy or farm management is required.
