Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tack Welder to join our team at Metalworks Inc. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in tack welding techniques and have a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tack welding on various metal components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect welded components for defects and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain inventory of welding supplies and tools.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes.
  • Coordinate with the Welding Engineer for project specifications.
  • Keep detailed records of welding production and quality metrics.
  • Support the training of apprentices in welding skills.
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a welding degree program is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on welding
Technical Skills
  • MIG & TIG Welding

Advantageous
