Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tack Welder to join our team at Metalworks Inc. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in tack welding techniques and have a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities
Perform tack welding on various metal components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Inspect welded components for defects and take corrective actions.
Maintain inventory of welding supplies and tools.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives for welding processes.
Coordinate with the Welding Engineer for project specifications.
Keep detailed records of welding production and quality metrics.
Support the training of apprentices in welding skills.
Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a welding degree program is preferred
Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on welding
