Job Description

As an Ore Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and negotiating ore contracts. Collaborating closely with operations and finance teams, your goal will be to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials while adhering to cost-effective procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify new ore suppliers in both local and international markets.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Ensure effective communication with other departments to facilitate the smooth flow of materials.
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Conduct site visits and audits of supplier locations to assess quality.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives to maximize procurement efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
• MBA is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in the mining industry

Technical Skills

• ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau)

Soft Skills

• Decision-making skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• CPSM certification
• Professional certification in procurement

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Portuguese: Basic
