Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with elementary students who have diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), supporting students in their academic and social development, and collaborating with parents and other professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic development of students.
  • Engage in professional development and training to enhance teaching practices.
  • Teach students self-advocacy skills and help them develop a positive self-image.
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love for physical activity among students.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Special Education is preferred
  • Certification in adapted physical education is required
Experience
  • 3+ years of teaching experience with students with disabilities.
Technical Skills
  • Experience using assistive technology
  • Data tracking and analysis

Certifications
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
