Job Description

As a Fire Inspector and Investigator, you will play a critical role in inspecting and testing fire alarm systems. Your expertise ensures that safety standards are met and maintained, providing peace of mind to our clients and communities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm systems throughout residential and commercial properties.
• Test systems to ensure they function properly under various conditions.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs based on findings.
• Work closely with local fire marshals and safety officials.
• Document inspection reports and ensure proper filing.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Stay informed on new technologies and compliance regulations.
• Engage with customers to provide clear and helpful information.

Requirements

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or a related field
• State fire safety certification is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in the security or fire safety industry

Technical Skills

• Alarm system testing
• Regulatory standards knowledge

• Problem-solving skills
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
