Job Description

As a Patrol Judge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and fairness of racing events. Your responsibilities include monitoring race conditions, enforcing regulations, and documenting any discrepancies. You'll work closely with other officials to maintain the integrity of the race.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all race participants follow the established rules and regulations.
  • Observe race conditions and participant conduct at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with race officials and teams regarding any rule violations.
  • Document all race incidents and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss rule changes and safety protocols.
  • Evaluate race conditions for safety and fairness before races commence.
  • Engage with the audience and address any concerns related to race integrity.
  • Assist in the training of junior officials and new judges.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in managing race day activities.
  • Provide input for race scheduling and participant eligibility.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a race official or judge
Technical Skills
  • Experience with race management software
Soft Skills
  • Quick thinking
Certifications
  • Racing Industry Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Spanish: Intermediate
