Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher for Kindergarten, you will play a crucial role in developing reading and comprehension skills among students. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, implementing targeted interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to help our students thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Assess student proficiency levels to tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Design lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Promote literacy through interactive and hands-on activities.
  • Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with special education teams to provide comprehensive support.
  • Incorporate technology and adaptive tools into reading instruction.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate instructional materials and resources.
  • Facilitate a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Document and report on student achievements and areas needing improvement.
  • Attend staff meetings to align with school goals and initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Special Education preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in special education or related field
