Job Description

As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you play a crucial role in preventing illegal activities on U.S. waterways and ensuring national security. This dynamic position involves conducting surveillance, boarding vessels, and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to tackle smuggling, trafficking, and illegal immigration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field operations in coastal zones.
• Inspect and search vessels for illegal cargo or persons.
• Participate in joint operations with partner agencies.
• Evaluate and report on security risks in maritime environments.
• Provide intelligence and situational awareness to the command center.
• Perform training exercises to enhance tactical skills.
• Develop and implement security protocols for maritime operations.
• Assist in policy development related to border and maritime security.
• Work closely with community partners to ensure safety.
• Provide support during investigations of maritime crimes.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in any related field is preferred

Experience

• Experience in law enforcement or maritime operations is an advantage.
