Job Description

The Hydro Plant Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a hydroelectric power plant. This role involves monitoring and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the plant. Ideal candidates should have solid technical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor hydroelectric power generation equipment.
• Regularly inspect and maintain mechanical systems.
• Keep accurate logs of operations and equipment conditions.
• Aim to optimize plant efficiency through proactive maintenance.
• Support emergency responses and ensure worker safety.
• Work closely with the maintenance team for repairs.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification or apprenticeship in related fields is desirable.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years working directly in hydroelectric or similar power generation.
