Childcare Assistant

Job Description

As a Childcare Assistant, you will support childcare providers in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children. You'll engage children in age-appropriate activities while monitoring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Oversee children's participation in play and educational activities
• Collaborate with the team to enhance the learning environment
• Observe and report any concerns regarding children's behavior or health
• Encourage children to express themselves and develop social skills
• Support children with special needs with individualized care and attention

Requirements

Education

• Completion of a recognized Childcare Assistant training program
• Valid background check and clearance to work with children

Experience

• Experience with children of specific age groups (infants, toddlers, preschoolers) preferred

Technical Skills

• Childcare management software

Certifications

• Additional certifications in early childhood education

Languages

• Spanish: Fluent
