Occupational Health and Safety Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Technician to assist in the development and maintenance of our health and safety programs. This role involves conducting inspections, training employees, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to foster a safe workplace atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular site inspections and hazard assessments.
• Assist in the creation and review of safety programs and training materials.
• Coordinate safety training sessions for new and existing employees.
• Document compliance with OSHA and other health and safety regulations.
• Engage with employees to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
• Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure safety standards are met.
• Prepare and present safety-related information to management.
• Support emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote ergonomic assessments and solutions in the workplace.
• Implement and maintain incident reporting and tracking systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety Management or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a relevant field
