Job Description

As a Farmworker with Local Farms Cooperative, you will be instrumental in our farming and ranching operations. Your tasks will involve tending to crops, assisting with livestock care, and supporting a clean and productive agricultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planting, cultivation, and harvesting of crops.
  • Take care of animal welfare, ensuring they are properly fed and accommodated.
  • Handle equipment safely and effectively as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining farm facilities and work areas.
  • Record and report observations for crop and livestock health.
  • Support overall farm operations through teamwork and communication.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a farm or ranch setting preferred
Technical Skills
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Machinery Maintenance
Soft Skills

Certifications
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Forklift Certification (preferred)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience in aquaculture: Knowledge of farming aquatic animals and their health management.
  • Ability to operate tractors and larger machinery: Hands-on experience with larger farm machinery is a plus.
