Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain woodworking machines, ensuring that production meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate woodworking machines for optimal production.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure all safety equipment is in working order.
• Implement maintenance schedules to keep machinery in peak condition.
• Work closely with quality control to ensure that products meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and collaborating with maintenance staff.
• Follow all operational procedures and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor production rates and strive for continuous improvement.
• Provide feedback to management on production workflow and potential efficiency improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience operating woodworking machinery
