We are seeking an experienced Axman to join our dynamic team in the construction trades. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and smoothing various materials, including wood, metal, and plastics, using hand tools and precision equipment. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail are essential for this full-time role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Safely fell trees and operate chainsaws and other equipment as required.
  • Cut and trim felled trees into manageable sections.
  • Participate in team meetings and ensure effective communication.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on site.
  • Support the team in completing projects on time while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of vocational training in woodworking or a related field is preferred
  • Hand Tools Operation Proficient in using various hand tools for cutting and shaping materials.
  • Blueprint Interpretation Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings.
  • Team Collaboration Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Attention to Detail Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • OSHA Safety Certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience in Tree Felling Techniques: Knowledge of proper tree felling and cutting methods within safety standards.
