Scrap Baller

Job Description

As a Scrap Baller, you will play a pivotal role in our recycling efforts by transforming metal scrap into bales. The job requires not only physical endurance but also a keen eye for detail to meet quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the loading and placement of scrap into the baler.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of baler equipment.
• Ensure safe handling of all scrap materials.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and team efficiency.
• Provide input on process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of production and material usage.
• Assist in training new hires on safe operating procedures.
• Evaluate new machinery and updates to enhance operations.
• Adhere to company policies and standards for quality and safety.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a similar role preferred.

Technical Skills

• Machine operation knowledge
• Knowledge of scrap processing

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Flexibility

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Safety training certification.: Basic training on safety practices and machinery operation.
• Forklift operation experience.: Experience in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
