Job Description

We're hiring a Purse Seiner to support our fishing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our fishing vessels, net handling, and fish storage practices. Bring your expertise to our team dedicated to responsible fishing practices and quality seafood delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate purse seine fishing vessels within designated areas.
  • Execute fishing plans based on environmental conditions and fish migratory patterns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.
  • Contribute to the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the vessel.
  • Aid in the preparation of fishing reports for management review.
  • Monitor and record environmental changes affecting fishing activities.
  • Engage in inter-departmental communication for operational success.
  • Assist in logistical planning for each fishing expedition.
  • Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
  • Provide feedback on equipment efficiency and suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in purse seine fishing or commercial fishing.
