Job Description

We're seeking dedicated Machine Feeders and Offbearers to take charge of hog care and management on our farms. This vital role involves ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, performing husbandry tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized environment essential for optimal hog growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine feeding and watering of hogs as per protocols.
• Monitor and assess hog health, reporting any concerns to the Farm Manager.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness by cleaning hog pens and tools.
• Participate in breeding and farrowing activities.
• Document observations on hog behavior or pen status.
• Administer health treatments as required, including medications and vaccines.
• Record weights and track growth patterns.
• Assist in the safe handling of hogs for transportation.
• Compile daily activity logs and reports.
• Follow safety and biosecurity measures consistently.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field (preferred)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in large-scale hog operations

Languages
