Public Health Director

Job Description

The Public Health Director will lead and manage the public health initiatives and programs of our organization. This role requires developing strategies and implementing policies to enhance community health, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for public health initiatives and community outreach programs.
• Evaluate public health data to assess community health needs and program effectiveness.
• Engage with local health organizations to enhance collaborative efforts in public health.
• Provide training and support to public health staff on best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Develop grant proposals to secure funding for public health projects.
• Present findings and recommendations to the executive management and stakeholders.
• Foster partnerships with educational institutions for public health research and education.
• Ensure transparent communications with the public regarding health initiatives and outcomes.
• Coordinate public health emergency response efforts.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Public Health or a related discipline
• Ph.D. in a relevant field is advantageous

• 7+ years in public health leadership roles
