Job Description

Join our team as a Cost Estimator, where you will analyze proposals and technical documents to provide accurate cost estimates for diverse construction projects. This role requires strong mathematical skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with estimating software.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop relationships with potential clients to understand their needs.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost management.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior estimators.
  • Evaluate proposal results and document lessons learned for future projects.
  • Maintain a database of past projects and associated costs for reference.
  • Develop unique strategies for effectively estimating complex projects.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on estimating performance and accuracy.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in estimating structural steel projects

Certifications

Advantageous

  • Previous Experience in Steel Fabrication: Hands-on experience in steel fabrication or erection will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Software: Familiarity with software such as Procore or Primavera for project tracking.
