Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Developmental Disabilities Specialist to join our team. You will have the opportunity to develop and implement care plans, coordinate client services, and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, making a real difference in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to understand individual needs and strengths.
  • Create tailored care strategies aimed at improving clients' quality of life.
  • Facilitate family meetings to discuss care plans and progress.
  • Explore community resources and ensure access to available services.
  • Document all interactions and progress comprehensively.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals, educators, and therapists.
  • Conduct workshops to educate families about developmental disabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all services provided.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
  • Foster an empathetic and supportive environment for clients and their families.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field required
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
