Grounds Crew Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grounds Crew Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities' grounds and landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the grounds crew, including assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Ensure the team follows safety protocols and environmentally-friendly practices.
• Prepare budgets and manage expenses associated with grounds maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to ensure adherence to maintenance standards.
• Train new employees on best practices and safety measures.
• Foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts within the team.
• Implement innovative landscaping techniques and sustainable practices.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Assist in hiring and evaluating crew members.
• Manage snow removal and winter grounds maintenance as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years' experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

• Certified Landscape Professional (CLP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
