The Transit Police Officer is vital in maintaining public safety within our transit systems. You'll patrol stations and vehicles, respond to emergencies, and provide assistance to riders. This role is essential in deterring crime and enforcing laws to protect our passengers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to reports of incidents.
  • Testify in court about observed incidents when necessary.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and other emergency services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skills development workshops.
  • Perform regular inspections of transit facilities to identify potential hazards.
  • Support community awareness programs related to transit safety.
  • Gather intelligence on potential threats to the transit system.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies to enhance overall transit security.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified police academy
  • CCTV Monitoring Proficient in monitoring and responding to CCTV alerts.
  • First Aid Certification Certified in providing first aid in emergency situations.
  • Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Crisis Management Able to effectively handle and de-escalate emergencies.
  • Certification as a Peace Officer
  • CPR Certification
  • English (Fluent)
  • Spanish (Conversational)
