Job Description

As a Shear Operator at Manufacturing Inc., you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cutting and slicing machinery that processes various materials. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with a team to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up shearing machines according to production requirements and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Calibrate machinery for precise material cutting.
• Conduct inspections on cut materials and report any discrepancies.
• Work closely with quality control to adhere to quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management of materials and supplies.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the production area.
• Document any maintenance issues and communicate with supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Proven experience with different types of metals and handling their characteristics.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Forklift operations

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of machine maintenance: Skills in maintaining and repairing shearing equipment.
