Job Description

Join our team as an Insurance Underwriter, where you will evaluate and assess risks associated with automobile and property insurance policies. The ideal candidate will utilize analytical skills to make sound underwriting decisions based on comprehensive risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance applications and assess risk exposure to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Consult with agents and brokers to acquire additional information as needed.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze statistical data and trends to improve underwriting practices.
• Perform market research to identify competitive and emerging trends in the insurance industry.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies and share insights.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
• Master's degree in finance or business is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in underwriting automobile and property insurance policies
