Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Legal Counsel to join our esteemed firm in Albany. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and representation to our clients across diverse legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law and a passion for navigating complex legal challenges.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with other legal specialists within the firm to address multi-faceted legal issues.
- Prepare legal opinions for senior management and board of directors.
- Monitor compliance with new and existing legislation.
- Conduct investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Advise on disclosure requirements for corporate governance.
- Manage and mentor junior associates within the legal team.
- Assist in due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.
- Participate in industry events to represent the firm and enhance our network.
Requirements
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD)
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in legal practice
