Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Legal Counsel to join our esteemed firm in Albany. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and representation to our clients across diverse legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law and a passion for navigating complex legal challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to support business operations and decisions.
• Review and advise on potential legal and regulatory risks.
• Draft and modify legal documents as necessary.
• Conduct trainings on legal compliance for staff.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties when required.
• Assist in managing litigation and liaise with outside counsel.
• Research case law and precedent to inform legal strategies.
• Participate in bankruptcy and corporate reorganization proceedings as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in legal practice

• Litigation

Certifications

• State Bar License
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
