Job Description

As a Geological Technician, you will play a critical role in the analysis and management of geological data. Responsibilities include conducting field surveys, collecting samples, and assisting in geological mapping. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in earth sciences and a passion for environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed field investigations and collect geological samples.
  • Analyze data using geological software and statistical methods.
  • Collaborate with geologists and other technicians on projects.
  • Create geological maps and cross-sections for reporting.
  • Assist in field logistics and preparation for surveys.
  • Document and communicate project findings efficiently.
  • Ensure that all geological data is accurately recorded.
  • Participate in project planning and stakeholder meetings.
  • Support environmental impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously learn about new technology and methods in geology.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Studies
  • Graduate degree is an asset

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in geological research or environmental assessments
