Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Philadelphia. In this role, you will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support our scientific research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a laboratory setting and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory experiments and procedures with precision.
• Monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment for accuracy.
• Analyze data and contribute to research publications.
• Secure and store materials in compliance with safety standards.
• Communicate findings effectively to the lab team.
• Support the training of interns and junior staff.
• Assist in inventory management of lab supplies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of laboratory or research experience required

• Sample Preparation
• Quality Control Techniques

Certifications

• Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Advanced Analytical Techniques: Skills in chromatography and spectrometry methods.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS): Experience with data management using LIMS software.
