Counter Roller

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Counter Roller to join our retail team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing cash transactions accurately, managing cash drawers, and providing top-notch customer service to enhance the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre and post-shift cash counts accurately and efficiently.
• Process customer transactions with a focus on service excellence.
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and store promotions.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and support team initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Use cash handling equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
• Report discrepancies and assist in investigations when necessary.
• Audit cash drawer regularly to ensure financial accuracy.
• Continuously seek ways to improve the efficiency of cash handling processes.
• Assist in the training of new hires on cash handling procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in retail or hospitality preferred

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite

Soft Skills

• Multitasking
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Cash Handler (CCH)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Spanish: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
• Experience with inventory management: Familiarity with managing stock levels and inventory records.
