Job Description

As a Nuclear Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear power plants. You will monitor and maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor the nuclear reactor and associated systems.
• Conduct routine tests and inspections to ensure operational safety.
• Respond to alarms and resolve equipment malfunctions effectively.
• Implement emergency procedures during system malfunctions.
• Document plant operations and equipment statuses accurately.
• Assist with maintenance activities and safety assessments.
• Ensure all operational protocols are adhered to and updated.
• Engage in continuous education on nuclear regulation changes.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in outage planning and coordination.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field preferred
• Completion of advanced nuclear power training program

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating or maintaining nuclear power plant systems.
