Job Description

As an Arbitrator, Mediator, and Conciliator, you will play a crucial role in helping couples achieve amicable agreements during their divorce proceedings. You will facilitate discussions concerning child custody, property division, and support payments, aiming to reach mutually acceptable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate mediation sessions effectively to help couples settle their divorce.
  • Prepare well-documented agreements that are legally binding.
  • Assist clients in managing stress and emotions throughout the mediation process.
  • Encourage open dialogue and constructive communication among all parties involved.
  • Remain neutral and impartial while guiding negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law practices to inform mediation processes.
  • Provide emotional support to clients, recognizing the challenges they face.
  • Help clients clarify their interests and needs during mediation.
  • Collaborate with the mediation team to improve service delivery.
  • Encourage post-mediation follow-ups to ensure compliance with agreements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Psychology, or a related field
  • Mediation certification from an accredited institution
  • State-specific legal licensing where applicable.
Experience
  • Experience in family law or divorce-related mediation is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
